Thredbo Bushfire Fundraising BBQ – Sunday 15th February, 3.30pm
More than $20K worth of prizes to raffle and auction
The people of the Snowy Mountains are gathering on Sunday 15th February to raise funds for those affected by the Victorian fires.
The event will kick-off at 3.30pm at the Thredbo Community Centre (opposite the Chapel) and run until late. The family event will be a BBQ with raffles, auctions, lucky door, music, live entertainment, cake stall and kids and fundraising activities.
Entry will be $5 for adults and kids will be free or a small donation.
The Thredbo community welcomes everyone in the area to come on up and enjoy some great food and beverages with the family and raise some funds for the needy victims of the bushfires..
National Parks and Wildlife Service has waived the entrance fee into the Kosciuszko Park on Sunday from 12 noon.
People will be able to purchase snacks and dinner from the BBQ and dessert table. And a bar will be operating. Thredbo chefs have been busy baking and prepping for this important event.
The community has rallied beyond belief with Snowy Mountain business operators giving generously to the event. Items include meat and BBQ items, bread and salads, drinks and lollies, Prizes include gift vouchers, accommodation packages, holidays, silver service BBQ, magnums of wine, bikes, dinners for two, ski and sporting equipment and much more!
All restaurants have passed over crates of wine for the bar and the auction. So there will be some great wine buys on the night.
The prize and auction kitty is valued at more than $20K. Some of the big ticket auction items include:

In addition, Thredbo tradespeople have given items such as “two blokes labouring/tiling”, “housekeeping time” and “plumbing and electrical time”.
The event is supported by Thredbo Chamber of Commerce, Thredbo Golf Club and Kosciusko Thredbo Pty Ltd and Thredbo Alpine Hotel.
